Biography

One more half-spanish that's grown up in suburban town of Gagny, Stéphane is one of a kind. Llike the others in Stillico, he grew up in a family surrounded by music, and just like Chris he plays several instruments. Since the age of 5 he followed the newest 80's pop & rock records, thanks to his elder sister who also got him into listening hardrock and heavymetal when he was 10. At 13 he wanted to learn to play guitar, then he actually saw one of Chris & Emmanuel's first ever concerts, and went to ask Chris for guitar teachings. Stéphane was gifted, and the weekly guitar lesson became for free, he learned very fast. They saw each other a lot, and as he learned there wasn't much teaching anymore, just playing together. According to Chris, it didn't take more than 3 years for the student to get beyond the master. Very creative, writing songs, at 16 he formed his own band where he played guitar and sang lead (Machine Gun), and Chris was his bass player. At 20 he'd learned to play drums by himself, he became drummer in other bands, and was singer-guitarist in his main project ( Deathinition ), and once in a while met the future Stillico guys at jam sessions. Just like Emmanuel he needed to learn as much as possible, play in so many different styles and get flexible. Continuing his own band he focused more and more on lead guitar techniques, by playing with pro musicians and going to master classes. At 23 he became leadsinger of a famous metal band (Dying Tears), meanwhile he picked up leadguitar in Stillico, as they wanted him. He handle his schedule in order to maintain this double career.
According to Stéphane, " Once Stillico starts a concert we are very difficult to stop, just like some crazy train. Being their guitarplayer, it stills amazes me to be with the guys who years ago made me start playing".
Stéphane's a very filling guitarist with an original sound, and a powerful backsinger in the band. Very inspired by spatial sounds of the 80's, in pop and new-wave, he manages to create unusual guitar sounds combined with a rock playing. Using strange machines like guitar-synth ( synthesizer made as a guitar ) he allows Stillico to deliver a different playing that before, and especially different that a regular "guitar-rockband".
